Desert Canyon Farm is a small family wholesale farm owned and operated by Chris and Tammi Hartung in southern Colorado.  The Farm has been licensed as a certified organic grower since 1996.  We specialize in growing plants of herbs (more than 350 varieties) and heirloom ethnic vegetables (over 170 varieties), along with edible and old-fashioned varieties of flowers and unique perennials.  Desert Canyon Farm plants can be found in garden centers throughout Colorado and northern New Mexico.

Desert Canyon Farm has been growing in an earth-friendly fashion for more than 12 years.  Land stewardship and sustainability are important to us personally and professionally.  Our plants are grown with strong priorities to soil management, biological and natural pest/disease control such as beneficial insects, and without the use of synthetic chemicals.  No GMO propagation methods are ever used.  Natural plant and animal based fertilizers provide nutrition in our fields, mother gardens and greenhouses.  We are making efforts to use more earth-friendly growing supplies such as rice hull and paper fiber pots, and we are constantly upgrading our growing facilities to conserve water and have a smaller energy footprint.
