“GCC Educational Stipend Winners 2007”
 

A total of $3000 in Educational Stipends has been awarded to the following students from GCC.  $2500 was from the GCC GROW funds set aside by the board and a special scholarship for $500 was donated by the employees from City Floral Garden Center in honor of Ronald L. Brady and David Gross as they retire from the industry.  Amanda Verhey was also awarded this special scholarship as she is entering a retail management course of study.

Million Tree Program

Denver City & County Million Tree Program will begin Aug. 1, 2007
The goal is have consumers plant one million trees in the next several years.  Watch this site for a 10% coupon good at participating stores when you buy and plant a tree.  The program is good at stores throughout the state that choose to participate although only those within certain metro areas can count toward the million tree program.
